Antonin Dvorak—Serenade for Strings

January has traditionally been Bay-Atlantic Symphony’s popular program for chamber ensemble. In this gorgeous program for plentiful strings—our largest chamber ensemble forces to date—we perform Dvorak’s by turns folksy and elegant Serenade for Strings. Also featured is Mendelssohn’s early masterpiece, his Sinfonia no. 7, filled with counterpoint, soaring melodic lines, and youthful spirit. We are delighted to share New Jersey composer George Walker’s most celebrated work, his Lyric for Strings, and Edward Elgar’s Serenade. more >
