Wind is the theme for this beautiful program. We proudly present the Bay-Atlantic Chamber Orchestra in two of the great masterpieces for wind ensemble. Dvořák’s is folksy and full of the dance rhythms, modal harmonies, and sweeping melodies of his native Bohemia. In Mozart’s “Gran Partita” we find some of the most sublime writing—intricate yet somehow pure, haunting yet somehow fresh. It’s a rare opportunity to hear this incredible music.
