This is an epic program filled with musical adventure, sensuality, stirring melodies, and power. The finale to Sibelius’s magical Symphony is one of the most stirring in the repertoire. We are thrilled to present the brilliantly gifted pianist/composer in her own work, She Comes to Shore: concerto for improvised piano and orchestra. Bay-Atlantic Symphony recorded the work (Naxos/Innova) in 2010. In addition to performing, Lee Pui Ming will be with us to sign CDs and discuss this beautiful, compelling piece. The work is part improvised, and so truly different at each performance.![]()
